Celebrate the magic of plant life with Blooming Season, a program that helps children explore how plants grow, reproduce, and sustain life in our ecosystems. From flowering fruits to tiny seeds, young Rangers will discover the fascinating processes that keep nature blooming.
Through hands-on activities, Rangers will:
🌸 Explore Flowering vs. Non-Flowering Fruits - Learn to identify different types of fruits and understand how they develop from flowers or other plant structures.
🌱 Discover Seed Dispersal - Investigate how seeds travel through wind, water, and animals to grow new plants, helping forests and gardens thrive.
🐝 Meet the Pollinators - Understand the essential role of insects, birds, and even humans in pollination, and how these tiny creatures keep plants and ecosystems healthy.
🎨 Pollinator Experiments - Become a pollinator in interactive experiments, using rockmelon fruits or greenhouse setups to mimic the way pollen moves from flower to flower.
The objectives of this program are as follows:
1. Investigate Plant Reproduction – Rangers will explore flowering and non-flowering fruits and understand how pollination leads to fruit and seed formation.
2. Discover Pollinators in Action – Rangers will observe pollinators in the field and learn their role in helping plants reproduce.
3. Apply Scientific Thinking – Through hands-on observation and field investigations, Rangers will practice scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and data recording like true field scientists.
Blooming Season inspires curiosity about the natural world and highlights the vital connections between plants, pollinators, and people.
Register your child today and let them experience the wonder of nature in full bloom! 🌿🌺
