Join us this month as our young Earth Rangers step into the role of Tree Team Protectors, learning why trees are some of the greatest heroes of our planet!
In this immersive nature program, children will explore the vital role trees play in our ecosystem - from producing the oxygen we breathe, to supporting soil health, offering shade, and providing homes for countless Malaysian wildlife species. Through hands-on discovery and guided outdoor learning, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the trees that keep our world thriving.
Rangers will:
🌳 Learn about native Malaysian trees — their names, features, and why they’re essential to our environment.
📏 Conduct a “Tree Census” — identifying, measuring, and recording different trees to better understand biodiversity.
🌱 Discuss real-world threats — such as land development, habitat loss, and how these issues impact our forests.
🤝 Take action — by understanding the importance of tree-planting initiatives and how every child can become a protector of nature.
The objectives of this program are as follows:
1. Understand the Life Cycle of Trees – Children will explore how trees grow, adapt, and survive, gaining a clear understanding of each stage in the plant life cycle and the factors that help trees stay healthy.
2. Recognize the Importance of Forest Health – Children will learn why trees are essential to the environment, how uprooted trees affect the forest ecosystem, and how human actions can either support or harm the natural landscape.
3. Build Knowledge Through Hands-On Exploration – Through activities such as observing the plant life cycle and investigating uprooted trees, children will apply what they learn and develop a deeper appreciation for the vital role trees play in sustaining the world around us.
Through engaging activities, meaningful conversations, and teamwork, children will develop a strong sense of responsibility toward caring for the planet.
Parents can look forward to a program filled with adventure, environmental awareness, and unforgettable learning moments.
