The Forest Pharmacy

Step into the natural world of healing with The Forest Pharmacy, a program that introduces children to the amazing medicinal properties of plants found in Malaysia’s forests. Young Rangers will discover how plants provide remedies, nutrition, and essential care for humans and wildlife alike.

Through engaging, hands-on activities, Rangers will:
🌿 Explore a Medicinal Plant Trail - Identify and learn about plants used in traditional medicine, understanding their unique properties and uses.
🍃 Distinguish Edible vs. Non-Edible Plants - Gain practical knowledge about which plants are safe to eat and which should be avoided.
🪴 Create DIY Herb Sachets - Craft personalized herb sachets, combining creativity with hands-on learning about plant benefits.
🩹 Learn Basic First Aid with Forest Plants - Discover how certain plants can be used for simple remedies and first aid in natural settings.

The objectives of this program are as follows:
1. Identify Wild Edible Plants – Rangers will learn how to distinguish edible plants from non-edible ones in the forest.

2. Discover Medicinal Value – Rangers will explore the traditional and medicinal uses of certain wild plants.

3. Apply Learning Through Observation – Rangers will engage in hands-on exploration, recording their findings and understanding the role of plants in health and survival.

The Forest Pharmacy nurtures curiosity, practical knowledge, and an appreciation for nature’s natural remedies.
