Creatures in the Night

Step into the enchanting world of nighttime with Creatures of the Night, a hands-on program designed to help young children explore nocturnal animals and the sounds of the evening in a safe and playful setting.

Through sensory-rich activities, children will:
✨ Firefly Flicker - Experience the magic of fireflies with small, flashing lights in a darkened space, sparking curiosity and imagination.
🦉 Shadow Puppets - Create simple puppets of nocturnal animals like owls, civets, and frogs, and use shadow play to tell stories — inspired by the traditional Malaysian art form wayang kulit.
👂 Listening to the Night - Sit quietly and tune into evening sounds, learning to identify creatures like crickets and frogs through active listening and pre-recorded sounds

The objectives of this program are as follows:
1. Explore Night Sounds – Children will listen to and identify sounds made by nocturnal animals.

2. Discover Fireflies – Children will observe the flickering lights of fireflies and learn their unique role in nature.

3. Develop Imagination and Observation – Children will use shadow puppets to act out nocturnal animals, fostering creativity and curiosity.

Creatures of the Night nurtures sensory awareness, creativity, and a sense of wonder about the hidden life that emerges after dark.
